There are many reasons why we may decline your reading.
Examples include:
- Your submitted reading may be in the wrong units. This is particularly common with gas meter readings. Ensure gas is submitted as meters cubed (m3) and not in Kilowatt-hours (kWh).
- You have submitted readings for the wrong meter.
- Inconsistencies with the readings e.g., Day and Night readings being in the wrong fields or you have sent in a picture of the wrong screen.
- You have not provided a photo of the reading.
- The meter reading date is incorrect.
- The start reading you have provided is similar to Huddle's start reading. In the industry, this is called "within tolerance". For electricity is is within 250 kWh and for gas within 109 m3/ 39 ft3.
- The read is over a year old and we can not submit it to the industry.
If you can’t find any inconsistencies, try submitting a meter reading again and contact our Customer Service team if you have any more issues.
